Ikapi Awards adalah bentuk kepedulian dan apresiasi Ikatan Penerbit Indonesia (Ikapi) kepada penulis, pegiat literasi, dan insan perbukuan yang berperan menggerakkan industri penerbitan buku di Indonesia. Anugerah ini telah rutin diselenggarakan oleh Ikapi sejak tahun 2010 dan diberikan saat pembukaan Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF).
Tahun ini Ikapi Awards diberikan untuk empat kategori, yakni Writer of the Year, Book of the Year, Literacy Promoter, dan kategori baru yaitu Children’s Book of Year.
Writer of the Year adalah kategori bagi penulis dengan capaian berupa karya-karya yang memiliki pengaruh besar bagi khalayak pembaca, memiliki aspek penulisan berkualitas, atau meraih apresiasi positif dari banyak pihak.
Book of the Year merupakan kategori untuk buku yang memiliki popularitas dan penerimaan luas serta berdampak positif pada pembaca/masyarakat.
Literacy Promoter adalah kategori bagi penggiat literasi yang berkontribusi membangkitkan dan mengembangkan budaya baca di Indonesia.
Children’s Book of the Year merupakan kategori yang diberikan untuk buku anak dengan aspek penulisan dan ilustrasi berkualitas serta memberi inspirasi kepada pembaca anak.
